To trace the layers of time

Each time I visit the official minä perhonen website,
I encounter small pieces of news that quietly light something within me.

Many of these stories fade with time,
and before I realize it, they are no longer there to be found.

April 8, 2026 | hoppas Release Announcement — From April 11

From Saturday, April 11, a new bag, “hoppas,” will be released.

Curious about the name “hoppas,” I looked it up and found that it means “hope” or “wish” in Swedish—much like “hope” in English.
It feels like a perfect name for spring, a season that makes you want to fill your heart with hope and anticipation.

This bag, made with a patchwork of textiles, has a generous size and is easy to use, as it can be worn both over the shoulder and crossbody.

I find myself imagining taking it along when going to see azaleas in full bloom… it’s a thought that quietly brings a sense of joy.

The zippered opening is also a reassuring and welcome detail for outings.

It seems that many new textiles are included in this patchwork, and just looking at it makes my heart feel light.
I usually tend to choose calm, darker tones, but this spring I find myself drawn to brighter colors—especially the pink and yellow combination in the center.
